Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

●     "Goods" refers to the items offered for sale on the online shop ‘Objects of Curiosity’.

●     "Orders" means a finalized, fully paid, purchase made by “You” the customer.

●     "Service" refers to the Website and e-commerce shop.

●     "Website" refers to White Hill Home Shop accessible from www.whitehillhomeshop.com

●     "You" (referred to as either “Your”, “You”, and/or “Customer” in this policy) means the individual accessing the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

●     "Carrier" refers to the shipping carrier contracted to deliver your package

●     Currency noted in shipping policy is CAD (Canadian Dollars)

●     “Qualifying Orders” refers to orders over $149.99 CAD comprised of products that are NOT noted on individual product pages as being excluded from flat rate shipping (e.g. furniture)

Canada and USA Shipping Policy

  1. Shipment processing times

All Orders are processed within 2-3 business days of order date. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.
If We are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days and any additional delay will be communicated to You via email and/or phone call. In the event of additional delay please allow additional days in transit for delivery.

2. Shipping rates & delivery estimates

●     Shipping method: FLAT RATE Canada Wide Shipping
Shipment cost: $19 flat rate for orders under $149.99.  No cost flat rate Canada Wide Shipping for qualifying orders over $149.99 CAD. See product descriptions for large and/or fragile products that are exempted from flat rate shipping.
Estimated delivery time: 3-5 business days via UPS, FedEx, Canpar or Purolator

●     Shipping method: FLATE RATE USA WIDE SHIPPING (excluding Hawaii and Alaska)
Shipment cost: $25 flat rate for orders under $149.99.  No cost flat rate USA Wide (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) Shipping for qualifying orders over $149.99 CAD. See product descriptions for large and/or fragile products that are exempted from flat rate shipping.
Estimated delivery time: 5-7 business days via UPS, FedEx, Canpar or Purolator

Delivery delays from the Carrier can occasionally occur and White Hill Home will not be held responsible for delays outside Our immediate control including any delays as a result of weather events, labour strikes and/or terrorist activities.

3. Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation Email once Your Order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

4. Customs, Duties and Taxes

White Hill Home is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to Your Order by any institution, government or not after it has been shipped by Us/ All additional fees not noted herein imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of You customer (tariffs, taxes)

5. Damages

White Hill Home takes the utmost care in preparing your order for shipment.  In the event that Your product or Goods are damaged during the shipping process our RETURN/EXCHANGE/REFUND policy lasts 7 calendar days from the time your products are delivered to you.

To be eligible for a RETURN/EXCHANGE/REFUND, you must notify us within 7 days of shipment receipt that the item(s) has(have) arrived damaged. Please send an email with a picture of the damaged product along with order details (name, address, order number, and any other relevant information) and specify if you would like a refund or an exchange. 

This RETURN/EXCHANGE/REFUND Policy is null and void, and no returns/exchanges/refunds will be issued, if 7 days have gone by since the time of your order delivery.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

6. RETURNED SHIPMENTS from Carrier



You will receive a Shipment Confirmation Email once Your Order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

7. Exemptions from flat rate shipping

Certain products due to their size and/or fragility are exempt from flat rate shipping and will require custom shipping or local delivery if the product can not be picked up in store. See product descriptions for products that we are not able to ship with standard flat rate shipping. Products requiring custom shipping do not qualify for our flat rate free shipping offer.

8. Discrepancies

Should a discrepancy with an online order shipping method occur, White Hill Home will be in contact with you, through your supplied contact details, to resolve the issue and/or provide custom shipping rates.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of this Shipping Policy by posting updates and changes to our website.
